Prior to forming Richett Media, Emily spent six years as a feature reporter at FOX 17 News in Grand Rapids, championing local businesses and events on-camera as well as honing her research, production, and editing skills behind the scenes. During her tenure, Emily shared more than 6,000 news segments as a reporter and helped make FOX 17’s morning show a success. Her commitment to telling important stories and showcasing the good in the community earned her a large and loyal West Michigan following, as well as a multitude of professional connections upon which she continues to rely. A graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Emily’s volunteer work includes serving on the boards of West Michigan Public Relations Society of America and Broadway Grand Rapids, as well as the Celebrity Chair for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and work with the UICA, the Humane Society of West Michigan, and the American Cancer Society. Emily enjoys vegetarian cooking and exploring new places, but in her free time can most often be found enjoying restaurants with her husband right here in Grand Rapids or walking their dog, Leo, around the neighborhood.

Sarah Cavanaugh arrives at Richett Media with over 15 years of of public relations and marketing experience. Whether it’s a special event, social media marketing, copywriting or campaign planning, Sarah has been a success – providing exceptional customer service along the way. As a website manager at WZZM13 TV for almost four years, Sarah learned the details of creative audience engagment, leveraging all media avenues available, and producing on-air interviews and segments. Her unique professional experience, energy and enthusiasm is a welcome addition to the Richett Media team.
