Our passionate team of five has more than 40 years combined experience working in local media, marketing, video production and communications. We engage in the community where we live and work, and we belong to strong networks of professional and philanthropic organizations in West Michigan. Our team actively works on projects for causes that better the community.
Prior to forming Richett Media, Emily spent six years as a reporter at FOX 17 News in Grand Rapids, championing local businesses and events on-camera as well as honing her research, production, and editing skills behind the scenes. During her tenure, Emily shared more than 6,000 news segments as a reporter and helped make FOX 17’s morning show a success. Her commitment to telling important stories and showcasing the good in the community earned her a large and loyal West Michigan following, as well as a multitude of professional connections upon which she continues to rely. Her work has been featured on television and radio stations throughout the U.S. and she has represented major brands, such as Wal-Mart and DaimlerChrysler.
Emily holds a degree in public relations and broadcast journalism from Western Michigan University and a certificate in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University. Her volunteer work includes serving on the boards of West Michigan Public Relations Society of America and Broadway Grand Rapids. Sarah Cavanaugh – Public Relations Manager
Sarah Cavanaugh arrives at Richett Media with over 15 years of public relations and marketing experience. Whether it’s executing a special event, social media marketing, copywriting or campaign planning, Sarah has been a success – providing exceptional customer service along the way. As a website manager at WZZM13 TV for four years, Sarah mastered the details of creative audience engagement, leveraging all media avenues available, and producing on-air interviews and segments. Her unique professional experience, energy and enthusiasm is a welcome addition to the Richett Media team.
